We love our family attending MCC VBS annually because our kids come home happy, rejuvenated and sharing their love for Jesus through what they’ve learned at camp. They love the songs and dance and come home asking us to find the songs to show us the dances they’ve learned.
Every year they come home excited about their camp leaders and how much fun they have with them and how special they are! Although we don’t attend MCC as our home church, we always feel welcome as if we are part of their family!
Our kids also rave about the water play days. We appreciate all that you do for our kiddos. Thank you!

I had the great privilege and responsibility of leading a group of kindergarteners around the Emerald Isles last week. The kids spent their time playing games, memorizing verses, singing songs about Jesus, and overall being in a safe, Christ-centered environment. What a high and holy privilege was ours to represent Christ to these children!
Growing up at MCC, I took VBS for granted. Since I was hearing the same message week in and week out, I never learned anything from VBS. It was merely a fun summertime activity. I figured that every child shared my experience. Once I was old enough to volunteer, I found other things to fill my time with. After all, why should I spend my time and energy on something unproductive?
How wrong I was! Just because I was a poor student doesn't mean that Christ can't use creative costumes, strategic snacks, and silly songs to reach the children right here in Cedar Crest. Additionally, the kids donated money to help provide for the basic needs of some children in India - VBS was being used to reach children on the other side of the world!
No, VBS is not a waste of time and energy. VBS is not entertainment at the expense of the church. Rather, it is a means by which we can let the little children come to Jesus. Lord willing, I plan to prioritize Vacation Bible School in years to come. What I saw last week was people dedicating their time and energy for the praise of the glory of His name. I can't think of a better way for us to spend our time!

Thank you so much to everyone at Mountain Christian Church as my girls really enjoyed themselves and will not stop talking about all they learned. Everyone there had been so nice and welcoming and I just want to say thank you so much. It was greatly appreciated.
These are my foster girls who we want to adopt, and we know that God has a plan for these beautiful little girls. Thank you all!
